Code of Conduct

Reading University Table Tennis Association (referred to as RUTTA) is affiliated to the English Table Tennis Association (ETTA) the national governing body for table tennis.

Members are expected to behave in an appropriate, sensible manner when representing the university and during training sessions. No player may participate if under (or deemed to be) the influence of intoxicating substances.

Players are expected to wear suitable clothing at all times, this should include a t-shirt, shorts and a suitable pair of trainers (non-slip soles if possible). Too much clothing may be dangerous causing overheating.

All accidents must be recorded in the accidents log book. Depending on the severity of the injury a first aider will be required to attend or an ambulance will be called. In the event of a serious injury the person's primary contact will be informed. There will always be at least two people trained in first aid present during sessions.

Unruly players will be given two (2) warnings, then will be made to leave without refund.

The president will hold the casting vote in the event of a tie. An AGM will be held every year to elect the president and committee for the following year. All decisions will be made through a majority vote and to amend the code of conduct
